thunder only happens when it's raining

Heipparallaa! Muutamat random shootit parilta Coogee -päivältä. Ekalla kerralla ei aurinko oikeen paistanu mut onneks löydettiin sohva kallion kukkulalta jossa oli mukava chillailla ja katella tyrskyäviä aaltoja. Tokalla kerralla (joka oli muuten eilen) sää suosi vähän enemmän ja jotain rusketuksen kaltaista saatto jopa tarttua mukaan, jee! Onkin ollu vähän kadoksissa toi TAN tässä viimeviikkoina kun on ollu niin sateista, buuuu.

Hello! Here are few random shots of a couple of Coogee days. The first time the sun barely came out but lucky we found a couch on the top of the cliffs and chilled there for a while watching some pretty crazy surging waves. The second time (that was yesterday by the way) the weather was a bit better and I might even caught a tan, yey! Yeah it's been wearing off lately, mostly because of these past pretty rainy weeks, booooo. 

Some froyo -addict enjoying himself. Unfortunately he moved to Brisbane so that was the end of Yogurtland :'(

Joo ja viikonoppusuunnitelmat ei ihan menny taas niinkun suunnittelin hehe. Ilmaantukin taas kaikenlaista menoa ja meininkiä niin voitte vaan arvata taas kuinkas sitten kävikään... Tänä viikonloppuna ois tarkotus pitää leffailta, selailla gumtreeta sen hemmetin farmityön toivossa ja kierrellä outletteja. Eli joo, ei hullua biletystä tänä viikonloppuna (toivonmukaan) mutta en silti tee mitään lupauksia, koska se ei vaan toimi niin. Nyt meen laittaa pikkupalleron unten maille (: Laters m8!

And yea last weekend didn't quite go as planned hehe. There was a couple of fun things going on again so you can just guess what happened... This weekend I'm thinking about watching movies with the boi(z), browse gumtree adds hoping to find that freakin' farm job and check some outlets. So yeah, no crazy partying this time (I hope) but I still can't make any promises cause it just doesn't work that way. Now I'm gonna go to put little G to sleep (: Laters m8!

Heissan! Se on taas (tai siis vihdoin) viikonloppu ja enää kolme viikkoa kunnes lopetan au pair hommat for good! Koko viikko on ollu ihan sateista ja ens viikko näyttää ihan samalta, buu. Onneks osaan nyt ajaa Gracen sisäleikkipaikkaan nii voidaan vaan mennä sinne koko ajan :-D Grace pomppii tyytyväisenä pomppulinnoissa ja mä istun latte kädessä kahvio-osiossa hahaha. No joo, ei se aina ihan niin toimi mut siis periaatteessa hyvä idea. Tän viikonlopun aion ottaa iisisti. Niinku oon yrittäny viimeseet pari kuukautta ja aina jossain on ollu jotain meininkiä. Mut nyt aion oikeesti. Pitää vähän yrittää säästää ja kerätä voimia ennen 'East Coast' -reissua koska siellä ei goonilta vältytä, se on varmaa... Anyways ihanaa viikonloppuu ♥

Heyy! It's weekend again (I mean finally) and only three weeks left till I finish au pairing for good! The whole week has been raining like hell and next week is looking exactly the same, buu. Luckily I now know how to drive Gracie to an indoor play center so we can just go there all the time :-D Grace is jumping happily on the jumping castle and I'm sitting in the café nextdoor latte in my hand hahaha. Well, it isn't always so easy as it sounds, but anyway the idea is good. I'm gonna take it easy this weekend. As I've tried to do for the last two months but there's always been something going on. But this time, I'm really gonna try. I have to save money and just relax and get some rest before my 'East Coast' -trip cause you can't avoid goon there, that's for sure... Anyways have a lovely weekend guys ♥

Löysin tämmösiä vallan hauskoja fotoja jostain varmaan kahen kuukauden takaa kun oli vielä hullut helteet joka päivä. Tää päivä oli niin huippu! Oltiin eka puistossa heittelee frisbeeta ja sen jälkeen mentiin hikisinä thai-hierontaan joka oli ihanan kylmässä huoneessa :D NIIN rentouttavaa! Viimepäivät oon tietysti ollu taas Gracen kanssa ja kriiseillyt tulevaisuudesta. Sain selville että on siinä toisen vuoden viisumissa ja oikeanlaisen farmityön löytämisessä vähän mutkia matkassa, mutta olis kyllä vaan niin outoa tulla Suomeen jo elokuussa. Saa nähä mitä tapahtuu. Huomenna saan selville ratkaisevan jutun, joten sitä odotellessa hihi.

I found some fun pics that are taken one day maybe two months ago when it was like crazy hot all day long. This day was so dope! First we were playing some frisbee in the park and then went to a thai-massage all sweaty :D the room was nice and cool and it was SO relaxing! The last few days I've been spending with Grace and also thought a lot about the future. I found out that finding the right farm job and getting the second year visa isn't that easy for me, but on the other hand it would just be so weird to go back to Finland already in August. We'll see, we'll see. Tomorrow I'm gonna find out a pretty conclusive point so I'm waiting for that now.

I wanna make my own rules, wanna be my own fool

Hehe mitäs me Sydney-fanit käytiin pikkusen keinumassa Harbour Bridgen ja Opera Housen yläpuolella, aikamoiset vaudit oli joo... Ja ihan kivojahan näistä kiikkukuvista tuli, jee. Kyl me siellä kuvailtiinkin pikku tovi. Loppupuolella alko vähän väsyttää ja jälkikin alko olla lähinnä tän näköstä:

Hehe as such true Sydney fans we went swinging a bit above the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House and had quite craaazy speed... These swingy pics turned out fine after all, yey! In the end we started to feel a bit tired and that's why the last photos look like this:

Mut joo tuolla tuli taas semmonen fiilis et ei vitsi miten rakastankaan tätä kaupunkia! On Sydney vaan niin ihana ja kaunis. Oikeestaan aika unelma paikka oleskella, koska tällä hetkellä en ois missään muualla mielummin kun täällä. Voiskohan tätä jopa sanoo jo kodiks? Ehkä puolen vuoden asustelun jälkeen se on jo sallittua.

But anyways while swinging happily and looking at the beautiful view I realized again how much I love this city! Sydney is so beuatiful and gorgeus. It's the place to be, cause at the moment I wouldn't be anywhere else rather than here. I could almost call this place home? Yea maybe I'm allowed to after a six months stay.

Newtown on kuin vanha koto Punavuori ja muutenkin tuntuu vaan niin kodikkailta kaikki pienetkin jutut, jotka on jo niin kovin tuttuja täällä kuten esim liikennevalonappien painaminen, bussikuskia kiittäminen tai junalla Harbour Bridgen yli matkaaminen Regina Spektorit korvissa (no okei, millon mulla ei ois Regina Spektorit korvissa heh...) Tai esim lemppari takeawaysafkaksi muodostuneet Guzman Gomezin nachot (=rakkautta), joita jaksaa syödä valehtelematta joka viikonloppu (ja varmaan söisin joka päivä jos voisin...) ilman että on edes lähellä kyllästymistä.

 Newtown is like my old home Punavuori (suburb in Finland) and even all the very little things, that now are so familiar to me, feel so cozy! For example pushing the button while standing at traffic lights, saying "thank you" to the bus driver or sitting in a train across the Harbour Bridge and listening to Regina Spektor at the same time (ok I'm always listening to Regina Spektor heh...) Or my favourite takeaway food here: Guzman Gomez's nachos (= pure love) that I'm eating literally every weekend without getting sick of it at all (I would eat it every day if I could...)

Ja Ausseja yleisestikin rakastan. En yhtä paljon kun Sydneytä, mutta luulen sen johtuvan vaan siitä, että en oo vielä sen kummemmin ollu Sydneyn ulkopuolella. Mutta tää ongelmahan tulee siis korjautumaan alle kuuden viikon päästä kun tää tyttö lähtee reppureissailemaan pitkin itärannikkoa, wuuuhuuuuu!

And I generally love Australia too. Not as much as Sydney but I think it's only because I haven't been that much outside Sydney. Anyway this little problem will be fixed real soon cause my backpacking trip up to the East Coast will start in less than six weeks, woooohooooo!

Mardi Gras Sydney

Moikka mooi! Tosiaan viime viikonlopun kohokohta oli varmaankin lauantaina järkätty gay festivaali Mardi Gras, jota oltiin kattomassa sankoin joukoin! Paraati lähti jostain Hyde Parkin lähettyviltä ja jatkui kai aika pitkälle oxford streettiä pitkin. Sateenkaarilippuja ja tanssivia, laulavia ja kännisiä ihmisiä hassut asut päällä vilisi koko kaupunki! Tuli mieleen vähän Suomen vappu. Paraatin loppupuolella alko tietenkin satamaan kaatamalla, mikä ei nyt sinänsä tullu minään yllärinä kun koko helmikuu on ollu aika nihkeen sateinen täällä Sydneyssä :( Siitä sitten treffattiin vähän saksalaisia ja mentiin kaikki yhdessä Oxford artsiin. Se on semmonen klubi, jossa on välillä tosi hämmentävää musaa mutta jotenkin tulee vähän tavastian lauantai disko vibat kans! Anyways siellä sit bailattiin jonkin aikaa kunnes rupes lämmin sänky houkuttamaan liikaa joten se oli bai bai. Sunnuntai oli aikamoinen koomapäivä. En ees muista mitä tehtiin, käytiin sushilla? Onneks mulla oli maanantai vapaata kun host perhe oli Melbournessa käymässä niin sai kunnol rentoutuu :) Täl viikol vaan kolme työpäivää WADAP!! Okei mut nyt mun on aika mennä nukkumaan jos aion huomenna päästä jotenkin ylös sängystä ja juoksennella 12 tuntia kaksivuotiaan perässä. Hyvää yötä!

Heyy! The high light of last weekend was definitely the gay festival called Mardi Gras that we were watching in the city with a bunch of people! The parade started from Hyde Park (I guess?) and continued along oxford st. There were drunk, singing and dancing people everywhere in the city, waving rainbow flags in their funny costumes. It reminded me a bit of Finnish Vappu! By the end of the parade it started to rain, which wasn't really any surprise cause the whole month has been pretty rainy here in Sydney. After the parade we met a couple of Germans and headed all together to Oxford Arts. It's a club where they play really confusing music sometimes but somehow the place also has a similar vibe to Tavastia in Finland! Anyway we danced there for a while until the warm and comfy bed started tempting me too much so I said BYE BYE and left :D Sunday was a super lazy day. I can't even remember what we did, probably ate some sushi? Lucky I had Monday off cause my host family went for a visit to Melbourne so I got one extra day off to relax :) This week I only have to work on three days WADAP!! Ok but now time to go to bed if I wanna be able to get up tomorroe and run after a two-year-old the whole day. Nighty night!

Spit Bridge to Manly

Hellouta hellouta hehe viikonloppu tuli ja meni, kerettiin kyllä tehä vaikka mitä! Perjantaina katottiin lätkää (hyi en ikinä kato mitään tv-urheilua, paitsi tennistä katoin kerran ja se oli ihan hauskaa) Mutta joo siis oli kunnon kaikki suomipaidat päällä yms... Päätin kyl mennä nukkuu kesken pelin koska olin vähän kipee vielä ja periaatteessa siis jääkiekkohan ei vois vähempää kiinnostaa ja en vaan ollu päässy fiilikseen. Aamulla sit kuulin että Suomi ei ees voittanu sitä pelii lol. Mut pronssii silti Usaa vastaan jee! Tehtiin viikonlopun aikana kans kolmen tunnin kävely Spit Bridgeltä Manlyyn, joka oli tosi jees! Yks pikku juttu vaan unohtu nimittäin ruoka. Ei oltu otettu mitään eväitä mukaan, joten siin vaiheessa kun päästiin Manlyyn niin rynnättiin ekaan burgeri-pihvi-mestaan, joka nähtiin. Se oli ihan kauhee paikka. Ruoka oli huonolaatusta ja ylihinnoteltuu koska no, silleen niitä turistei huijataan Manlyssä heh joka on siis täynnä turisteja. Mutta kelpas koska oli nälkä :D 

Hello! So the weekend went pretty quickly, we did have time to do many things though! On Friday there was an ice hockey game (Finland vs. Sweden) so we watched that (I usually never watch any sports on tv except for that one tennis game that I though was fun to watch) but yea we had all these Finland t-shirts and shit... xD I decided to go to bed in the middle of the game cause I was still a bit sick and couldn't care less about hockey and just wasn't in the mood. In the morning I hear that Finland didn't even win the game lol. But at least we got bronze against USA, yey! During the weekend we also did a three hour walk from Spit Bridge to Manly and it was heaps fun! Unfortunately we weren't that well prepared so we forgot to pack food with us heh... Sooo at that point we got to Manly we just ran to the first steak-burger-restaurant we saw. It was such a horrible place. The food was really bad quality and overprized cause, well that's how they cheat tourists there. And Manly is full of tourists so I guess it works, what a great business idea... But we ate it cause we were STARVING :D

Lauantai oli hauska päivä, näin keskustassa kahta au pair -kamua, joista toinen on lähössä pian kiertää East Coastia (kadekadekade) mutta onneks ehditään nähä vielä ennen kun hän lähtee takasin omaan kotimaahansa, Saksaan. Se on aina haikeeta kun kavereita lähtee mutta tietty uusia tulee myös koko ajan lisää :) Mikään ei kuitenkaan tunnu auttavan siihen, että on ihan järkyttävä ikävä kaikkia rakkaita Suomessa! Paitsi Skype vähän auttaa. Silti mietityttää toi tulevaisuus että uskallanko oikeesti jäädä tänne toiseks vuodeks... Ehkä pitää vaan yrittää olla huolehtimatta liikaa tulevasta ja antaa elämän viedä. Täl hetkel tuntuu tosiaankin siltä, että aussit on niin mun mesta, enkä vois mitenkään palata takas Suomi-arkeen kun elämä on muuttunu ihan täysin. Anyways nyt oon höpötelly tarpeeks tältä erää, hyvää alkanutta viikkoo kaikki!
   
Saturday was pretty fun, I met two of my au pair friends in the city. The other of them is going to travel the East Coast pretty soon (I'm sooo jelly) but lucky we still have time to see each other before she goes back to her home country, Germany. It's always a bit sad when your friends are leaving but on the other hand you make new friends all the time as well :) I miss my darlings in Finland SO MUCH and it feels like there's nothing that helps that. Except Skype helps a bit. Still I'm thinking if I have the courage to stay here for another year like for real... Maybe I'm just gonna try not to worry too much about the future and see where life is taking me. At the moment I really feel that Australia is the place to be for me and I couldn't imagine going back to my daily life in Finland as my life has totally changed since I came here. Anyways, I think this is enough talking shit for now, have a great week everyone!
